The Equestrian School is a horsemanship-first riding school located in Fall City, serving the greater Seattle area. We are an educational space for students who want to truly understand the horses—not simply learn how to ride. With over 25 years of experience, our work is grounded in thoughtful teaching, classical foundations, and a deep respect for the horse as a whole being.

Our teaching is guided by a Whole-Body, Whole-Herd philosophy. We consider the horse’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being in every lesson, alongside the student’s development and education. We prioritize nervous-system regulation, sound biomechanics, appropriate development, and informed horse care. Students learn how to observe, listen, and respond to what the horses are communicating, building trust, confidence, and partnership while supporting horses to remain comfortable, capable, and sound over a lifetime.

We work with students of all ages who seek depth, understanding, and true connection with the horses. Our community includes dedicated riders, truth-seekers, and parents who want their children to learn real horsemanship rooted in knowledge, empathy, and responsibility. We are especially aligned with those who value education, thoughtful progression, and long-term horse welfare over quick results or accolades.
